Ein Cineast aus Argentinien kommt nach eineinhalb Jahren der Pandemie nach Hamburg zurück – auf der Suche nach einem Mann, dem er für ein paar Minuten auf der Straße begegnet war. Die beiden eint die Liebe zum Film und die Verehrung von John Ford. Ein Musical, das die Freundschaft durch das Kino feiert.
Roger Koza (aka “The Argentine”) is back in Germany, looking for his friend Elmar (whose name sounds like the Spanish “el mar” – the ocean). All he knows is where he last met him and that they talked about John Ford. But because this is a film about intense emotions, about friendship, about loving cinema, its feelings cannot simply be contained. And so Roger Koza breaks out into song, like in the old Hollywood Musicals. He sings about the flowers, about the abstract white, about cinema and about his lost friend. Will he find him? A truly independent musical.
